Billboard review Sting & Shaggy's New York show...

Following the release of their well-received collaborative album, 44/876, Sting and Shaggy took their unlikely partnership on the road. Wednesday (Sept. 26) night, the duo hit the Pier 17 Rooftop in New York City for an energetic and timely performance. Midway through "Dreaming in the USA," an ode to America and a commentary on immigration, Shaggy stepped to the front of the stage, earnestly addressing the audience. "This song is for all the Dreamers, no matter where you're from, whether you're black or white, Christian or Buddhist, it doesn't matter; we have a saying in Jamaica, 'out of many one people,' and tonight we're all brothers and sisters here."

The Last Ship has received two nominations in the 2018 UK Theatre Awards for Best Touring Production and Best Performance in a Musical for Frances McNamee. The UK Theatre Awards are the only nationwide Awards to honour and celebrate outstanding achievements in regional theatre throughout England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. The track was recorded in various studios along Sting and Shaggy’s critically-acclaimed European 44/876 Tour this summer as well as at Shaggy’s Ranch Studios in New York. Produced by GRAMMY-nominated producer Martin Kierszenbaum (Sting, Madonna, Lady Gaga, Far East Movement), “Skank Up (Oh Lawd)” contains a sample from “Groovy Baby” by Gerry Richardson and the E Types whose frontman, Gerry Richardson, used to be in the Newcastle-based band Last Exit with Sting.
